Sollers partners with Duck Creek Technologies to modernize reinsurance
Feb 24, 2025

Sollers Consulting and Duck Creek Technologies have launched a new partnership to help insurers modernise their reinsurance business. The new partnership will focus on helping insurance and reinsurance companies globally. Sollers’ international experience in integrating core systems will enable insurance companies to maximise the benefits of Duck Creek Reinsurance, a platform that helps insurers centralize, streamline and automate their reinsurance processes.

The insurance industry is facing increasingly frequent and intense loss events, making it more difficult to procure suitable reinsurance. In a new partnership, Sollers Consulting and Duck Creek are helping insurance companies deploy a modern, data-driven reinsurance management system. Technology provider Duck Creek Technologies is contributing its well-established Duck Creek Reinsurance platform, that helps insurers centralize, streamline and automate their reinsurance processes. The cloud-based reinsurance solution collects and analyses data from a variety of internal sources. With a customer base of more than 100 financial institutions in 20 markets, Sollers helps implement Duck Creek Reinsurance.

“Reinsurance is going through a difficult time as increased frequency and intensity of NatCat events has made reinsurance purchasing much more difficult,” comments Krzysztof Biernat of Sollers Consulting.  “We are very pleased to be working with Duck Creek to help insurance companies respond. Duck Creek Reinsurance offers a powerful solution. Our experience with complex system integrations in the insurance industry makes us confident that reinsurance management will take a significant step towards digitalisation.”

“This partnership marks a significant step forward in the digitalisation and automation of the reinsurance industry, and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on our clients,” said Elodie Hilderal, Managing Director of EMEA for Duck Creek Technologies. “The combination of our advanced, cloud-based reinsurance solution and Sollers’ extensive experience with system integration will provide insurers with the tools they need to make informed decisions and streamline their reinsurance management processes.”

Reinsurance systems for cedants draw data from many sources: Claims management, policy administration, credit control, business intelligence reporting, actuarial and reserving, document management and exposure management. Given the low level of digitalisation and automation in reinsurance, the quality and structure of this data does not allow for optimal decision making. The new partnership between Sollers and Duck Creek helps to change this.
