Guidewire ClaimCenter upgrade with redevelopment of data flows
Feb 08, 2026 Data , Case study , Data Management, Guidewire

Sollers supported a global insurer with a strong presence in the London Market in upgrading its claims platform while redesigning complex data flows to ensure continuity of financial and reporting processes.

The engagement focused on a major upgrade from Guidewire ClaimCenter 6 to ClaimCenter 10, combining custom legacy solutions with out-of-the-box capabilities and ensuring that downstream systems continued to receive accurate, reconciled data throughout the transition.

Challenge: ClaimCenter 6 to 10 upgrade complexity

The ClaimCenter upgrade introduced significant data model changes and increased complexity around financial data handling, reporting, and downstream integrations. At the same time, the system needed to support regulatory-driven changes related to Brexit Part VII transfer.

Key challenges included:

  • Migrating from ClaimCenter 6 to 10 with major data model changes
  • Redesigning a custom multicurrency solution while aligning with CC10 out-of-the-box functionality
  • Ensuring financial data consistency across downstream systems
  • Preserving existing CMS reporting without post-upgrade changes
  • Preparing data flows for Brexit-related policy and claim transfers

Solution: ClaimCenter upgrade with data reconciliation

Sollers delivered a controlled, data-focused upgrade approach to minimise business disruption.

ClaimCenter upgrade and data model migration

We supported the upgrade to ClaimCenter 10, managing major data model changes and ensuring accurate migration from the legacy structure to the new model.

Financial data integrity and reconciliation

A combination of SQL scripts and Gosu pre-upgrade triggers was used to migrate and reconcile data, with particular focus on financial accuracy. Batch processes identified downstream data requiring updates and triggered corrections where necessary.

Stable downstream integrations and reporting

Data feeds from ClaimCenter to downstream systems were preserved, ensuring financial systems remained consistent and CMS reporting continued to work without modification after the upgrade.

ETL preparation for regulatory change

ETL batch processes were adapted to support Brexit Part VII transfer requirements, including refreshing policy data and relinking claims to new policies within ClaimCenter entities.

Results: Validated financial data after CC10 upgrade

  • Successful upgrade from ClaimCenter 6 to ClaimCenter 10
  • Redeveloped data flows supporting a new data model
  • Financial data reconciled and validated across downstream systems
  • Existing reporting preserved without post-upgrade changes
  • Data architecture prepared for Brexit-related regulatory transfer
