Leveraging digital capabilities of a direct insurer

About customer

Yuzzu is a direct insurance leader in Belgium and part of the AXA group. With its 165 employees, Yuzzu manages car, home & family insurance for more than 160,000 customers. Via its multi-channel approach, including web, phone and dedicated shops, customers can choose their preferred communication channel to get in touch with their insurer. Yuzzu puts the emphasis on personalised insurance combined with a great service.

What was the goal of the project 

Yuzzu decided to invest in a new platform in order to increase operational efficiency required to improve the customer service and sustain business growth.

Additionally,  Yuzzu wanted to reduce time-to-market and streamline tariff changes. Therefore, they required high quality data and tools necessary for sophisticated pricing. 

All of that to be delivered through multiple sales channels: contact centre, agencies and the Yuzzu website. 

What solution was implemented 

In order to deliver the new capabilities, Yuzzu decided to introduce several new systems including the Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter modules,  as well as the Guidewire data solutions. 

Alfresco was selected as the document management system, while Scriptura was implemented for the document generation. 

Thanks to the lean organisation and agile mindset of the company, the project had been delivered before the original deadline,  providing the necessary business value.  The new IT landscape reduced the operational risk and helped to boost sales.
